Jazz Organizations:

• Arkansas Jazz Heritage Foundation - a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the general public about the historical significance of Arkansas' musical heritage. It sponsors jazz performances by musicians with Arkansas connections and educational clinics for high school and college musicians throughout the state.
• The Banff Centre - a Canadian learning centre dedicated to the arts, leadership development, and mountain culture. The Centre hosts an International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music and the Hugh Fraser Jazz Orchestra Workshop.
• The Boogie-woogie Preservation Society - UK-based organisation dedicated to the preservation of Boogie-Woogie piano playing. Features events, players and links to related sites.
• Brookfield Jazz & Blues Appreciation Society - Enthusiasts meet to enjoy music and swap recordings. Events are planned.
• Charleston Jazz Series - Volunteer organization promoting the appreciation and availability of jazz music in central West Virginia. Includes schedule, artists, education and outreach programs.
• Clifford Brown Jazz Foundation - Promotes jazz as an art form with education and performances. The organization sponsors an instrument loan program, scholarships, workshops and lessons.
• Friends of Big Band Jazz - A non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Big Band Jazz, supporting the Mike Vax Jazz Orchestra and the Mike Vax Big Band.
• Illawarra Jazz Club - Australian, non-profit organisation whose aim is to promote jazz and have lots of fun.
• Indianapolis Jazz Foundation - Non-profit group of club owners, musicians, educators and fans working to promote the local music scene and honor its history. List of Hall of Fame inductees, links to jazz venues.
• International Association of Jazz Educators - IAJE publishes the Jazz Educators Journal, sponsors an annual conference, produces awards for outstanding artists, provides scholarships, commissions artists and composers, trains teachers, offers workshops, and helps support jazz festivals.
• International Association of Jazz Record Collectors - Dedicated to the promotion of jazz recordings and jazz history, the IAJRC maintains a searchable catalog and lending library. The association also publishes a quarterly journal and holds an annual convention.
• Jazz at Lincoln Center - New York based organization led by artistic director Wynton Marsalis. Includes recordings, broadcasts and performance schedule for the resident Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, information on guest performers and educational programs, and essays by Stanley Crouch.
• Jazz Composers Collective - A musician-run, non-profit organization dedicated to presenting original music by forward-thinking composers. The Collective presents a concert series in New York City and publishes a newsletter.
• Jazz Heritage - A ten-year initiative to research, preserve, and present the history of jazz through exhibitions, performances, recordings, radio, publications, and educational programs at the Smithsonian and across the nation.
• Jazz in Motion - An organisation by and for Dutch jazz musician playing progressive jazz. The English-language site features homepages for musicians like Yuri Honing, Tony Overwater, Maarten Ornstein and Joost Lijbaart.
• Jazz Institute of Chicago - A non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of jazz music in Chicago. The JIC promotes and programs the annual Chicago Jazz Festival, the Winter Jazz Fair and other events.

• NEJA - New England Jazz Alliance - NEJA promotes jazz in New England and has created the New England Jazz Hall of Fame, a travelling roadshow in search of a permanent home. The organization is a resource for area performances and outreach programs.
• New Orleans Jazz Club - Group founded in 1948 to preserve traditional jazz publishes Second Line magazine and presents concerts and events.
• North Carolina Jazz Foundation - Founded in 1993 by James Ketch and Gregg Gelb to promote jazz awareness in the state and present performances by the North Carolina Jazz Repertory Orchestra.
